Y'hiyu L'ratzon
(Cantor Lisa Segal)
Y'hiyu L'ratzon was written for my son, Max's Bar Mitzvah in 2000, and has been a part of our worship service at Congregation Kol Haverim (Glastonbury, CT) ever since. In this majestic arrangement, Beth Schafer takes this prayer to new heights with the strong voice of Cantor Lisa Segal (Temple Beth Am, Miami, FL). Performed at the URJ Regional Biennial in December 07. This arrangement has hints reminiscent of the Moody Blues, to me. Enjoy!

I stand before this congregation, and pray to you o God
May my deeds reflect your teachings, and Torah light my way
Grant me understanding, and make my life a blessing

May the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart
Be acceptable to you, O God, my rock and my redeemer
